Key Dates & Reminders
IMPORTANT TERM 1 2023 DATES
Below is a list of some of the main dates on the school calendar for Term 1 2023. Families need to be aware that events which involve organisations outside of St John’s, such as the St Andrew’s Parish, may at times need to be rescheduled. Please be aware that these changes are beyond our control.
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION MEETING
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered to Baptised Catholic students in Year 3. Parents are required to attend a Preparation Meeting on Thursday 16th March @ 7pm in the School Hall, with the Sacrament being celebrated the following week on Thursday 23rd March @ 7pm in the School Hall.
TERM ONE UNIFORM OPTIONS
Parents are reminded that we are currently in a transitional phase between our current uniform and a multipurpose uniform which will be worn everyday. We are aiming to finalise this process by the start of Term 2. During Term 1 students may wear the sports uniform on any school day, or if they wish they may wear the full summer uniform on non-sports days.

SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL
The School Advisory Council meets regularly over the year. We extend our appreciation to the representatives on the committee and the time they dedicate to their role as leaders of our school community who support the principal and leadership team in their work.
The meeting dates for 2023 are as follows:
- Tuesday, 21st February at 7pm
- Tuesday, 14th March at 7pm
- Tuesday, 9th May at 7pm
- Tuesday, 25th July at 7pm
- Tuesday 22nd August at 7pm
- Tuesday, 17th October at 7pm
PREP REST DAYS 2023
To assist Prep students in coping with the fatigue which is associated with commencing school, the first five Wednesdays of Term One are designated rest days for Prep students. The dates for these rest days are listed below:
- Wednesday, 1st February 2023
- Wednesday, 8th February 2023
- Wednesday, 15th February 2023
- Wednesday, 22nd February 2023
- Wednesday, 1st March 2023
