From the Principal

Week 7 Term 1 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

I trust families were able to enjoy the long weekend.  The weather was perfect except for the shower of rain on Sunday evening.

Over the past week we continue to have students and staff being affected by COVID. I ask for your patience and understanding during these challenging times as we juggle staff due to illness, professional learning and COVID. I am not sure what I will find on my emails every morning when I wake up!!!!!!   These are the challenges all schools are currently facing. The teachers remind the students of COVID safe procedures daily, I ask that you do this also.  e.g.  hand sanitising, masks indoors at all times, test twice a week

Parents and Friends -Krispy Kreme Fundraiser.

‘LAST CHANCE! ORDERS CLOSE MONDAY AT 5PM!’.

I would like to thank the Parent and Friends association and the community for supporting this fundraiser. Just a reminder that orders need to be in by 5.00pm this Monday 21st March.  Unfortunately no late orders can be taken.  The order details can be found on the Parents and Friends page of this newsletter.

Reconciliation Evening

Thank you to  Ms Reed and the 3/4 team for the online Faith evening for reconciliation last week.  It is difficult to personalise an online meeting for so many students and families but they were able  to make it as interactive as possible. Thank you to the all the families for their participation in the evening.  The students will continue to learn about this sacrament in class in preparation for their First Reconciliation in early April.

School Advisory Board

The school Advisory Board will be meeting for the first time for the year tonight. The School Advisory Board is represented by all three schools in our Parish.  St Anne's, St Bridgets and  St Bede's.  Below are the representatives from our school.

Principal- Brian Grace

Parish Priest- John Salvano

Parent reps- Viv Rossios,   Christian Beltrame,  Zeina Lesa, Hang Dinh

Staff rep- Bernadette Reed, Katie Day

House Colours

Its still not too late to enter your nominations for the naming of our house colours. At this stage we haven't received many  so as a family get your collective minds together.  The P and A have kindly donated a $100 gift voucher. It would be great to have the marquees for early 2nd Term.

Harmony Week.

Next Tuesday the children are encouraged to wear a touch of orange in recognition of Harmony week. This can be in the form of a hair tie,  socks, shoe lace, t- shirt etc.

St Patricks Day

Thank you to our Parents and Friends who supplied green jelly for all our Students to celebrate St Patricks Day. The jelly disappeared very very quickly. St Patrick is very important to Melbourne as our Catherdal is named after St Patrick.

Have a great week

Brian
