Term Two Inquiry - Parent Session

At Tuesday night's staff meeting teachers began the process of planning for the Term 2 Inquiries. Through our inquiries the students inquire into areas of the curriculum such as science, history, civics and citizenship, indigenous perspectives... Last term we were inquiring into belonging and learnt about how we belong (civic and citizenship, indigenous perspectives and personal and social capabilities). In Term Two we will be inquiring into change and will explore this through the science curriculum.

As part of our planning process the students will have opportunities to have a voice and contribute to the planning of the inquiry and we would like to recommence inviting parents to also have an opportunity to contribute to the inquiries.

We will have a parent inquiry planning (brainstorm) session next Wednesday 23 March at 9am in the Jarrow Room. We would love for you to join us. At this meeting I will explain the teacher brainstorm / planning based on the Victorian Curriculum at present and invite the parents to contribute to a brainstorm of ideas and possibilities.

NAPLAN State Coordinated Practice Test

Just a reminder next Thursday 24 March is the state wide Coordinated Practice Test. All Grade 3 and 5 students need to bring to school their FULLY CHARGED laptop and headphones in order to access the test.
