Principal's Message
This is the most sobering Principal's report I have ever had to write. To say that our staff and students are greatly saddened by the passing of one of our students seems inadequate. Words cannot express the sense of loss we all feel with Harry Slee's passing.
Harry was well known to all of our students and staff. He was a lovable larrikin who was infinitely likeable. A big personality. We can only imagine the enormous sense of loss his family and friends are feeling. We are keenly feeling his loss too and as a school will do all that we can to support his siblings who are also students here, along with his friends and our staff members.
We have Counsellors and wellbeing professionals working to comfort and assist staff and students who are needing support. The impact of grief for some can be immediate and for others, realising their grief may come a little later. Whichever it is, we have the support available as we all go on this grief journey together.
Ours is a tight knit school and a this is tight knit community. I know we will all support one another, and most importantly Harry's family.
Harry, we were richer for your presence in our lives.
Our thoughts and heartfelt sympathy are with Harry's family and friends.
