Cultural Day

I wanted to acknowledge and thank Kate Wilson and the team of Year 10 students for an outstanding cultural celebration.

It was wonderful to see the pride in culture the students demonstrated and the way the audience received the different dance items. The picnic atmosphere in the MPC during lunch was also a lovely thing to see.

Worlds Greatest Shave

The prefects ran the Worlds' Greatest Shave on Thursday the 7th of April 2022 and collected donations. The whole school enjoyed watching on as hair was coloured and shaved on stage in the MPC.

Cross Country

On the weekend of April 23rd-24th, our very own Year 7 student Tallara Joseph-Riogi represented NSW at the 2022 Australian Little Athletics Championships in Melbourne.

Tallara had an amazing weekend competing in 2 events, finishing 2nd place for Javelin with a distance of 37.50m and 1st place for Discus with a Personal Best of 38.19m! These are sensational results, and we are all so proud of you! Congratulations again Tallara!

News from the Office

Welcome back to Term 2.  I hope everyone had a restful holiday.

Invoices - have been emailed out.  If there are any issues, please let me know.

Parent Portal - caregivers can access more than reports.  They can also see their student's timetable and absences.  Caregivers are able to enter explanations for unexplained absences.  These explanations are then uploaded to the Sentral.

Going Digital - the office is starting to upload all absence notes etc digitally.  Could all caregivers either email notes; enter on school stream or call the school.   This allows us to save and upload documentation quickly.   Hopefully we will save some paper.

Extended Leave - if you are travelling overseas with your student(s), a Department Application for Extended Leave needs to be completed, signed and returned to the school.  Additionally information e.g., copy of airline tickets need to be attached as well.  The forms are available from the office.   All extended leave applications are required to be approved by the principal.

A great big thank you to all staff and students for a great start to the term.

To my team, thanks for your ongoing hard work and efforts.

Finally, I would like to wish one of our office staff all the very best as she takes a leap of faith to work overseas for a year.   Daniella is talented and valued member of our team.  She co-ordinates all our social media, internet, and intranet, as well as our Year 6 to 7 enrolments.

Her work is always of the highest caliber. She will be missed.
