Ocean Poetry from 2LP

Sand squishing between my toes

Crabs crawl across the sand.

Seagulls squawk as they fly in the sky.

I am happy to see them fly.

Here at the sea I can see the waves jump.

I can hear the seagulls squawk.

I can smell the salty sea and taste it.

As I go, I feel the smooth sand wrap around me.

Here at the Sea I can see the great big blue sea roar in my ear. I hear boat`s fog horn far out at sea and down deep what is that a submarine telescope?

Wow what a sight we had today!

The ocean is calm with a wave in its mouth,

It drenches me with water,

As I play in the sea,

Everything is better at the salty sea.

Oh bright blue ocean.

Your seaweed is so bright, it shines so light in the sunshine.

The loud crashing waves say ‘hi’, and splash me with their cold, wet mist.

They make me want to wave back to you.

The busy little orange crabs on the hot, soft sand pinch me in pain, but it makes me want to do the same.

Even though the noisy, annoying seagulls steal my hot, salty chips, it’s ok, because they have amazing white, grey and black feathers that I can collect.

It’s a much better prize than I expect.

Down by the beach the waves crashing and seagulls chirping and the taste of the seawater through the air.

People chatting and the kids playing.

I  ran down the hot sand then I felt the wet damp sand I knew I was near the sea.

I dived down and got the surfboard and played!

Spraying sea water everywhere!
