LEVEL TWO, TERM THREE
Welcome to another exciting term of learning and celebration in Level Two. We would like to extend a warm welcome to all the new families who have recently joined and welcome back all our familiar faces. Term Two was full of engaging learning opportunities, concluding with the students presenting learning in their Student Led Conferences that demonstrated our school norms and their learning growth. The Year 2 team are excited about the learning that will take place this term, and the continued growth we will see in all our students. We hope you have an enjoyable Term 3 with your child.
Glen Waverley Primary School Production
This term, all students will participate in our school production. Each class has been working hard to perfect exciting and complex choreography to perform on stage. Our production will take place at Robert Blackwood Hall on Thursday August 10th. Students will take a bus to Robert Blackwood Hall to attend an on-stage rehearsal during the day. After school, students will don their costumes, and come along with their families, to perform in this spectacular event. We encourage you to purchase tickets to see your child in the school production. Information regarding costumes and tickets is attached at the end of this newsletter. Please take the time to read through this information. We look forward to sharing this celebration of the students’ Performing Arts learning with you!
Welcome Ms Shi to 2C!
We are excited to introduce the newest member of the Year 2 team. Haileina Shi will be teaching 2C for the remainder of the year. Haileina has worked in four different schools prior to GWPS, with experience from ELC through to Year 6. She graduated with a double degree in Primary Education and Linguistics from Monash University. Haileina loves both music and dance, and enjoys connecting with students over pop culture. She is looking forward to meeting you all.
