Principal's Report

EXCURSIONS AND EVENTS

Term 4 is filling very quickly with class excursions and some events for the whole school.

Rooms 5 & 7 have organised some end of year events to celebrate the end of a wonderful year.

St Kilda playground, a trip to the movies and a class camp are just some of the things happening for our senior students.

Our Student leader “Whole School Events” team are planning a whole school talent show.

YEAR 6 & 7 GRADUATION

This year both cohorts of students will be graduating.

Students have decided to hold graduations in two sessions.

One for rooms 6 & 7 and the other for room 5.

Families will receive further information re attending.

Our Year 6 and 7 Aboriginal students will have their “Celebration of Success” graduation on Friday Nov 5th.

WHOLE SCHOOL POOL DAY

Permission notes have been sent to families for our final day of the year.

It is a wonderful way to finish the year and students always look forward to it.

SUN SAFE POLICY

Reminder to families that our school SUN SAFE POLICY is that:

If the UV rating is 3 or more HATS must be worn by all students.

If students do not have a hat they should remain under one of our two shelter sheds during playtimes.

Bucket hats are the only approved hats for school.

Baseball caps or hoods are not appropriate.

STEM LEARNING

Groups of students have begun learning about coding and robotics with our DP Graham Wegner.

This is proving to be very popular with students and they are all deeply engaged in new learning.

Our STEM learning area is beginning to come alive with lego robots and models.
