Principal's Report

Many thanks to families for their support with ensuring students have their school hats. Although it has been sad to see the snow disappearing from the hills, we have all appreciated the recent sunshine and students have been enjoying making the most of the playground and ovals.

Earlier this week, several of our students had an opportunity to participate in the Shire led First Nation Students Day Out 2022.  This event enabled students from across the shire to come together to learn about their culture with local indigenous leaders and organisations.  

Next Tuesday, students in Year 3 & 4  will have the opportunity to enjoy a day of Cross Country skiing.  To ensure the bus is able to depart on time, please ensure students are at school by 8.45am.  Students will return to school in time for school pick up at 3.20pm. 

To celebrate the end of term, next Friday we will be having a casual dress day.  As we are still raising funds to sponsor a Koala, a gold coin donation would also be appreciated.  Families are reminded that as it is the last day of term, school will finish at the earlier time of 2.20pm.

On Friday the 7th October, the Division Athletics will be held in Albury. Information about this event has been sent home with students this week.  Families are asked to please confirm attendance by completing the consent process on Compass.   

A reminder to all families that next week is your last chance to complete the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey.  Please take the time to complete this survey by Friday 16th September. 

As previously advised, the Australian Dental Health visit has been rescheduled to take place for the first week of term 4. Families who returned their forms earlier in the year, do not need to do anything.  If you did not complete a form and would like your child to participate, please drop into the office to collect a form or give us a call.  If for any reason you wish to withdraw consent, please contact the office asap.
