Principal's Report

By Carolyn Serpell

A reminder this coming Monday, 12th June, is King's Birthday public holiday.

OSHC will be closed on this day.

Last Friday, many of our students travelled to Wodonga to run in the Upper Hume Division Cross Country event. Congratulations to all of the students that represented our school and our Cluster at the run. By all accounts the students did themselves proud and had a great afternoon both running and cheering on fellow students.  In addition, Rowan (1st), Mac (3rd), Nina (8th) and Ferdi (12th), have also qualified to advance to the Regional event, which will take place in Benalla on the 16th of June.  Well done to these students and all the best!

As students continue to present with COVID like symptoms, families are urged to please keep your child at home if they are unwell. We also ask that you please continue to test for COVID if they are showing any symptoms.

It was great to see our staffing beginning to return to normal this week, and to welcome Kathryn back after an extended period of leave.  Our thanks to everyone who has supported the Year 4 class in her absence and to all students for their  resilience throughout this period.

The Australian Mathematics Competition is on again this year and will be held in August.  We are now seeking expressions of interest from students in Years 3 - 6, who would like to participate.  The cost of entry is $8 per student and participation can be submitted on Compass through Events.

A reminder that the Mount Beauty Tennis Club is currently offering half-yearly membership for new members until 30th September 2023, at half the annual fee.  More information can be found in the Community Notices of this newsletter or you can join online here.

We have been advised of a Compass login update. Families are now able to use their mobile number in conjuction with your unique family code.
