Classroom News

Class 1/2

Our class 1/2 students with Kristy today rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty by creating some worm farms. What fun! As a continuation of indentifying small beasts in our schools garden students did a great job at creating a comfortable home for their worms to get to work and help breakdown organic matter that feeds our plants.  In turn these mini worm farms will be added into our bigger gardening project undertaken by Lucy and fellow students.

Thank you Lucy and Skye for rehoming some of your worms with us.

Garden Program

On Friday's we are lucky to have a visit with Lucy Vardy.  Lucy works for Bogong Outdoor School and has an opportuniy to join us each week to help our students contribute to our schools garden.  As well as taking pride in their school, our students are learning about horticulture and the ecosystems that live within our garden beds.  Over the course of this program Lucy will be replanting our edible garden and adding some much needed colour to encourage our local pollenators to visit and help our garden grow. We look forward to a plentiful harvest come Spring and Summer.

We are in need of some extra pairs of childrens gardening gloves.  If you would like to donate a pair please drop them off to our school office.
