Pupil Free Day - 14th May

by Helen Freeman, Principal

We hope that all our special Syndal South mums were spoilt on Mother's Day and especially enjoyed their gifts purchased from the Mother's Day Stall at school on Friday.  A huge thank you to the parents that helped out at the stall – Judith, Deane, Hye Jung, Ritu, Shubi, Libby, Mon, Wendy, and Elaine.  It was tremendous to see the vast array of handmade gifts that the Crafters created over many months and as a result over $2,300 was raised for the school.

The Foxy Crafters would like to thank all the students and families for supporting their final Mother's Day Stall and were thrilled to go out with a 'bang'!

Congratulations to all our Year 3 and 5 students that sat the NAPLAN assessments this week. All students did a fabulous job, they should be very proud of their application and positive attitude towards the assessment.

A reminder that tomorrow is a pupil-free day.  Andrea Hillbrick has already begun her work with us today with 4 demonstration writing lessons in Foundation R, 1S, 4B, and 6D. Tomorrow, Andrea will continue her work with the staff focusing on The Writing Process -Teaching Writers F-6 utilising the work she has completed today.
