Junior Class - Mrs Creek

It was transition week at St. Patricks. My Year 1 students got to work with their teacher Miss Williams for the week. The Kinder students came to school on Tuesday to join us. By the end of the day, many said, ‘school is a long day’.

Our two focus stories were, ‘The Littlest Christmas Tree’ and ‘Mr. Christmas’. We cut and pasted paper strips for our trees and added a glitter star to the top. We also made Father Christmas with his curly beard. Lots of running and playground fun had by all. In the hall during the afternoon session, there was time to put our puzzles together and play bobs and statues to the music.

Middle Class - Miss Williams

Last week we have had a wonderful time with our classes for next year. In this time we have been working on lots of little booklets with Christmas activities in them. We have had a Christmas booklet for writing, reading and maths. We have also been making paper characters to match with our new Christmas book that we read each morning. This week next year’s 2’s and 3’s have also been doing lots of Christmas colouring ins and then in the afternoons we have been making lots of Christmas craft. So far we have made reindeers, baubles, Christmas trees and wreaths.

Little Joey

This week we continue to acknowledge the significant role of the "Brown Joeys" in the establishment of St Patrick's School, and recognised Elvi, Moe Tha Zin and Lexi with Little Joey awards. Our Little Joeys receive a certificate, sticker and a voucher/goods donated by a local business.  We are very grateful for the contributions from our local businesses.
