The judge's decision is final and is comprised of the following criteria for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners:

Any student : who has acknowledged the Poet; who has memorised the Poem; who has made no errors in pronunciation, clarity, syntactical structure or rhythm/speed during recitation;whose delivery was outstanding AND expressive of the content; whose delivery demonstrated sound understanding of the poem recited. Eg. expression on the right words; pauses according to punctuation.
