Welcome to Term 2 Newsletter

Hi Haven Families!

Isn't it crazy to know we have now reached (and passed) the halfway point of 2023! We hope that everyone has been staying warm, dry and well throughout the winter months and look forward to some sunshine coming soon.

Term 2 has been full of so many learning opportunities for all chidlren here at Haven, with this newsletter showcasing the highlights of educational curriculums for each room.

A snapshot into Haven

A quick insight into Haven is that all families receive a middle of year summative assessment on their children's learning and development. These summaries are personalized to the child and their age, helping to provide families with an overview of their child's accomplishments, strengths, interests and personality that we see here at Haven. This also includes discussing areas that children are working towards and how educators are continuing to guide and challenge children's learning and development.

In addition, all rooms here at Haven use the Storypark App for Families. Storypark is a great platform to share photo snapshot of chidlren playing, engaging in learning experiences, group times and their relationships with peers and educators. Via Storypark across the year families also receive individual moments of learning on their child which may demonstrate the development of new skills, interests, child's voice and areas children are beginning to develop. Families will then also receive updates on children's goals which they help set at the beginning and middle of the year to inspire and extend all developmental domains for children.
