Building Update

Photo taken 07.02.2023.

Progress on Stage 3 is continuing however, due to supply issues of resources and manpower our handover date for week 1 in term 2 has been pushed out substantially. At this point in time the building is scheduled to be handed over to us on the 19th of May (week 5).  As a result of this all-external works and landscaping will also be delayed with completion scheduled for the 8th of August.  The biggest challenge the builders currently have is the supply of our external metal cladding which should have been on site several weeks ago. Internally things are progressing, and the classroom spaces are taking shape.

Over the coming weeks work will continue internally and externally with plastering, glazing, the installation of skylights, fitting of internal doors, erection of retainer walls and electrical and mechanical works.

During the holidays the builders will continue working, including over the Easter break, and they will start to move their building site into the interior of the building so that the car park can be extended and asphalted.

Although it is disappointing that we will not be able to move into the new building over the school holiday period as initially planned, once the build is complete, I am confident that it will be worth the wait.
