Grade Three Snapshot

Dear Parents,

Thank you to everyone who participated in the parent-teacher interviews over the last two weeks. It was a great opportunity to see how everyone was feeling about remote learning and discuss ways to ensure students continue to be engaged and progressing, both academically and socially.

The students have had a positive start to Home Learning 2.0. Many reported to us that they felt confident and calm about returning to this type of schooling. We have enjoyed once again coming into your homes and reconnecting with all the students' pets, siblings and soft toys again.

This time round we are giving more opportunities for students to connect and collaborate with their peers and teachers. The small group Reading and Maths Google Meet sessions each week will enable students to have explicit teaching, modeled examples and a chance to interact and learn collaboratively. Teachers will be able to give live constructive feedback to support and enhance student understanding. We will continue to identify specific learning tasks daily which the students will upload to Seesaw. These will be acknowledged by teachers with general comments.

Please enjoy this latest edition of our newsletter publication which will provide you with an insight of next week's learning focus for each curriculum area.
