Over the past month, our students in years Prep to 6 have been actively engaged in our exciting athletics unit. With Term 3 being our Year 3-6 Athletics Carnival, it has been a wonderful opportunity for all year levels to hone their skills and knowledge in field and track events.
Our students have been enthusiastically participating in a range of events, including shot put, relays, long jump, triple jump, high jump, and hurdles.
It has been a joy to witness their growth and development, particularly in the hurdles event. Many students have overcome their initial doubts and fear and through perseverance, they have successfully cleared hurdles they once deemed too high to conquer. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the determination they have shown.
I’m also pleased to share the recent success from our Year 6 Girls Netball team which competed in the Kingston Division Finals on Monday the 31st of July. The girls had a tremendous tournament making it all the way to the Grand Final game and coming just short to Beaumaris Primary School, with the score being 14-10. I would like to congratulate the girls on an amazing achievement and you should be all be very proud of what you accomplished.
