On Tuesday Kingswood Primary School welcomed the wonderful Children's Author, Jane Godwin. Jane spoke to all the students in the hall about how she finds the ideas for her books and how she writes them. She read the beautiful book "Go Go and the Silver Shoes" and spoke about her other books. The students thoroughly enjoyed listening to her and have hopefully come away with some techniques for their own writing.
The online portal to buy Jane Godwin books has been re-opened. You can now buy her books via the website on the poster. Orders must be in by the 13th August. Books will be delivered to students in the classroom.
By the time you read this newsletter, the library will have been transformed into our very own book shop. The Scholastic Book Fair is back and filled with sensational books at excellent prices. It will be starting on Monday 7th August and will be here until Thursday 10th. Come by and support our school whilst getting your hands on the best new children’s books!

Some important messages about the Fair
All purchases at the Fair are to be with Credit Card only and this year you can scan a barcode and pay from home. The books will then be delivered to your child in their classroom.
We will never sell out of a book because the last copy of every book always stays on the shelf. If you want to purchase a copy, just pay for the book then we order it and deliver it to your child within a week of the Fair ending.
All school bags must be left outside the office building.
Please be patient as the Fair can get very busy at times.
A big thank you to our volunteers. We could never hold a Book Fair without your help. We are still looking for 1 helper for Tuesday 8th 3.30 to 4.30pm shift and also one helper for Wednesday 9th at 8.30 to 9.00am session.
