What we've been up to...
Firefighter Visit
Term 2, week 10 we had some Rural Firefighters visit our school with their trucks and showed us how to use the hoses.
Beanies for Brain Cancer
During the last week of school we wore beanies to school to raise awareness for Beanies for Brain Cancer.
Colour Run
On the last day of Term 2, our school participated in a School Run 4 Fun.
In total RNSS raised $1,619.
Our highest fundraiser was Jax - who raised $424!
He was presented with a medal at parade on Friday. Well done Jax!
Romp in the Park event
On Friday 25th of June, Lower Primary students celebrated Under 8’s Week. The students enjoyed a variety of activities including parachute play, face painting, a sensory tub and cooking cakes in the sand. We were very fortunate to be joined by Allied Health students from CQUniversity who provided an awesome teddy bears picnic and sensory walk. Tea, cakes and biscuits were in high demand!
NAIDOC Week Celebrations
Due to NAIDOC Week falling during the school holidays this year - we celebrated it the first week back of Term 3.
To kick the week off - Miss Janita drew these amazing artworks on our footpaths for students, staff and parents/carers to enjoy on the first day back to school.
Some of our students work.
We finished off our week with some performances & face painting by students from Emmaus College & North Rockhampton SHS.
