Aussie Backyard
Bird Count
The Sunroom will take part in the backyard bird count during Bush School at Blackburn Lake.
Families can also help support the BirdLife Australia Aussie Backyard Bird Count again this year.
Running from 21 to 27 October it’s a great way to get outdoors and connect with nature through the birds in your backyard. If you don’t have a backyard, don’t worry, you can count birds in your local park, school yard, along creeks, in the main street - really anywhere in the urban area!
You will help BirdLife Australia find out about the types of birds that live where people live. This provides them with a snapshot of Australian birds at the same time each year, giving an indication of trends in our bird communities and the health of our environment.
Last year, over 2.7 million birds and 610 species were observed nationally. In Boroondara, 263 residents participated recording 9,119 birds and 74 different species! Let's try and beat that number this year!

Tuition Fees
Thank you to the majority of families who have paid promptly, or have instalment payment arrangements in place.
For the remaining families this is a reminder that fees for the last term of 2019 are now overdue.
In relation to overdue accounts please be aware that we reluctantly impose the late payment fee of $100 referred to in the Fee Schedule in a few weeks' time.
The 2020 Fee Schedule is presently being concluded and to be approved by
School Council, with the intention of sending out invoices in the middle of
November with payment by end of 2019.
For all our Year 12 families who have just made their last school fee payment - Congratulations!!
