Ganbu Gulin Program

GANBU GULIN PROGRAM

The Ganbu Gulin (“one mob” in Woi Wurrung language) Program brings together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to support them to find voice and build pride and connection to culture and community.  Jenaya, Gunditjmara, the Long Walk School Programs Manager, has been coming in to work with the deadly years 7 to 9 students.  They have spoken about the difference and importance of the Welcome to Country and an Acknowledgement to Country, and yesterday, they had a fantastic hip hop dance class.

Many thanks to Michael and his troupe for the fantastic experience. Michael also wanted us to know that he was very impressed with our students for being very respectful and open. He reckons we were one of the best schools he has ever worked with!
