My thanks to students, staff and families for making a smooth start to the new term last week. This term is critical for Year 12s to make sure they focus on the goal of graduating with the highest level of qualifications as possible. Staff will be adjusting rosters and timetables to optimise the time remaining and finish off assessments, so we need our 12s to be cooperative.

We have spoken to the Year 12s to impress upon them the need to remain focused and proactive and would expect that these same messages are being reinforced at home. Finishing school after so many years is an occasion of mixed feelings for students and it is not unusual for them to be feeling some anxiety for what is next in their lives. Our staff, Chaplain Jonno and Psychologist Tiina are on hand to support them at this exciting time.

World Skills Australia National Championship

In mid-August we have two of our Year 12s, Jake Bailey and Andrew Schumacher, travelling to Melbourne to take part in the national finals of the World Skills Australia National Championships in the area of Primary Industries. They will compete against students from other states in skills such as tractor operation, chemical safety, livestock handling, fencing and soil testing. Both Jake and Andrew are very competent individuals and I am sure they will be great ambassadors for the College. Best of luck to them both.

Second Round - Offer of Placement 2024

Today we sent out our second round of Offer for Placement at the College for 2024. Once again, we are oversubscribed for applicants and sadly there are quite a lot of students who will miss out on a place. One further round of offers will be made towards the end of this term. You may be interested in the current statistics as they stand this week.
