Food Glorious Food!
On Thursday 20th of July Year 11 and 12 Food Studies students went into Melbourne CBD to experience some ‘Australian Cuisine’. 🇦🇺
Students started off visiting Degraves Street and learnt about the history of migration to Australia and Melbourne's ‘coffee culture’. ☕️
Students then visited Mabu Mabu where they experienced a tasting of a wide variety of Indigenous Australian foods including Saltbush and Pepperberry Crocodile, and slow cooked kangaroo tail.
To finish off the afternoon, they visited Chinatown, where we discussed migration to Australia and different events that influenced migration.
Students were given time to grab a bubble tea or dumplings for lunch.
