Music Room Upgrades
Over the holidays Colin and Ethan have been hard at work upgrading the facilities in the Music room, Students have been enjoying the room every recess and lunch with many singalongs and bands rehearsing.
Instrumental Music
The Performing Arts department at Lyndhurst Secondary College are now offering students the opportunity to take individual and small group music lessons. Through the studying of instrumental music and playing in ensembles, students learn countless lifelong skills to help them develop into intelligent, creative leaders.
There are countless studies outlining the benefits of students learning a musical instrument- Improved academic results, stress relief, cognitive, emotional, and motor capabilities, building discipline, and even improved memory.
Instruments in 2023 offered will be
Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Piano, Guitar, Bass Guitar and Drums!!!!!
If you would like your child to participate in our Instrumental Program, please:
● Complete and return the Enrolment Form to Music Room (forms also available at the Music Room or front office)
● Once the form is handed in, an invoice of ($50) will be sent.

What a Performance!
Congratulations to Lineta, Andrew, Stewart and Susie on their performance to over 900 people at the Whole School assembly last week!

Along with this amazing performance we have had Year 8, 9, and 10 students performing at their year level assemblies as well as students writing original works to compete at Battle of the bands later in the term!
