Principal's Report
Dear families,
Well, we have certainly experienced a Winter blast. Our breakfast club was very popular this week. It is lovely to see the children all sitting around the table and happily chatting before school. Thank you to Mrs Sibio for assisting, by cooking for the hungry students. The program is operating every Wednesday morning from 8.15am onwards for all children to enjoy before heading into class. It is a great opportunity to chat with friends and enjoy a peaceful start to the day.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Already this week we have had Brave Hearts and Responsible Pet programs being attended by students from Foundation to Grade 2. Both programs reinforce safety messages with the children.
AFL FOOTBALL CLINIC
Students had a fantastic day on Tuesday at the football clinic. Sporting in Schools was also a great attraction with many students and parents attending the session. Next Tuesday we have another AFL Clinic. Students are encouraged to wear football colours on Tuesday.
WEBER Q & PATIO STAND RAFFLE
Parents & Friends are running a raffle Term 2. Supported by BBQ's Galore Shepparton the raffle is to raise funds for outdoor furniture for our new outdoor learning space coming this year. Tickets are $5 each and on sale via Qkr! or from the office. Raffle will be drawn at final assembly of Term on 24th June.
MORNING READING
Parents & family members are welcome to come in to the classrooms from 8.45am -9am to hear their child/children read.
JUNE LONG WEEKEND
Friday the 10th June is a Professional Practice Day, students are not required at school on this day. The majority of staff will be attending Day 2 of the Little Learners Love Literacy PD. Little Learners Love Literacy® is a sequential, explicit program backed by research. Teaching focuses on phonemic awareness, the alphabetic code (phonics), vocabulary and linking the teaching of reading, spelling and writing.

COVID/FLU
Currently we are being affected by both COVID and the Flu. We have had several children absent during the past few weeks. Please take care and continue to monitor closely.
