Senior Boys Cricket Report
On Thursday 8 March we ventured back to Carrum to play Frankston High school. We lost the toss and were sent in to bat. Soon we were in trouble as Damien misjudged a short ball popping up a simple catch to the fieldsman at square leg. TK came in and was looking particularly elegant until on just 3 runs he feathered a catch to the keeper. In the meantime Shiv was scoring quickly and had scored 19 when he was adjudged caught behind down the leg side. The score was then 3/38. We then collapsed and limped to 7/51.
Things were looking grim until Mesach came in and dominated, scoring a quick fire 32 which ultimately allowed us to compile a competitive 94 runs from our 20 overs.
We did get an early wicket and had them 1/13, but from then on it was a procession as one of their openers scored 62 not out and they were able to pass us in the 16th over.
So, we were eliminated. The dream is over. No more school cricket for the Year 12 boys. But what an absolutely fantastic group of boys it was. Good luck to all the Year 12 boys in your future cricket, and to the Year 11 boys, see you next year!

Casey North Division Swimming Competition
On Thursday 8 March, 33 students represented Nossal at the Casey North Division Swimming Competition at Doveton Pool in the Park. The sun was out and we were ready for a great competitive day. With all tradition swimming events filled it was going to be a busy day for Nossal in the pool.
Some of our students shone in the pool and were a dominant force in their selected events. Vincent Nguyen claiming gold in all of his 7 events, while Dheeraj Kulkarni and Mulitha Dewasurendra walked away 6 gold each to their name. We also had a gold rush with Amelia Qi, Rahul Bhondi, Max Inns and Keisuke Nishimura winning several individual events as well as 7 of our relays teams winning gold and progressing through to the next level of competition.
Once again our students were exceptional with their support for one another, sportsmanship and had a fantastic day outside of the classroom.
Congratulations to everyone for their amazing efforts and good luck to our 21 students competing at the Southern Metropolitan Region Competition at MSAC on Wednesday 28th March.

On Wednesday 7 March, Nossal had 6 sports teams out competing at the Casey North Division Senior Competitions. Such sports included Tennis, Volleyball and Baseball.
With students spending many lunchtimes being put through their paces with tryouts and then practice skill session, they were ready to hit the ground running and compete, but more importantly have fun and enjoy the day.
The Senior Boys Baseball Team were involved in 2 games against Hallam and Kambrya Secondary Colleges. Unfortunately, we did not come away with a win on the day, however the team played with skill and great sportsmanship throughout the day and got to improve their knowledge and skill level as the day went along, concluding with a Nossal High Yr 11 v Yr 12 game at the end of the day.
The Senior Boys and Girls Volleyball were involved in a round robin competition and for the first time Nossal entered 2 boys teams due to a large number at tryouts. The day was fantastic and played with great spirit. Each team was able to walk away with a victory or draw, but more importantly long-lasting memories, especially for the year 12s.
The Senior Boys and Girls Tennis was a competitive affair with some tough opposition. Our girls team claimed Division Runners-Up to Hallam while our boys team came away as Division Champions and will be progressing through the Southern Metropolitan Region Finals in term 2.
A big shout out to the staff who helped coached and attended these events and congratulations to all of the students for their amazing efforts.
