As of this morning, only 4 spots of 22 have been filled by volunteers. If we do not get any further assistance, we may have to cancel our BBQ. This is a fantastic fundraiser and we do not want to miss an opportunity to raise extra funds for our school.

If you could spare an hour to come down and cook some sausages or serve customers it would be greatly appreciated.

REQUEST OF THE MONTH AUGUST - LUCKY ENVELOPE & LUCKY DIP

If each of our Rosanna families donated one or more Lucky Envelope or Lucky Dip prizes it would greatly assist our fair. Please ensure no second hand goods are donated.

Suggestions....

* Stickers / Stationery

* Candles / Crafts

Donations can be made to your class teacher or to the coloured box at the school office.

Sponsorship and Donation Opportunities

Our preparations for the school fair will be ramping up in Term 3 so keep an eye out for announcements in the newsletter and COMPASS. We are still looking for key sponsors. We need their support so we can make this the most successful RPS fair ever! If you know any individuals or businesses who are able to support our school fair you can provide them with this letter which outlines details of sponsorship and donation options. We appreciate contributions of all sizes. If you would like some hard copies to distribute to your friends, family or neighbours, please contact forps3084@gmail.com.

Class Request

Prep S will be holding the MINDFULNESS stall. We will be making and selling DIY mindfulness kits that will include:

1 stress balloon

1 bag of playdoh

2 mindfulness colouring pages/bookmark

Crayons

We are after any of the following items, which can be dropped into the office......

- Ingredients to make playdoh; plain flour, salt, oil, cream of tarter

- Balloons

- Rice

- Crayons you no longer use (broken included)

- Snack sized glad bags (for the playdoh)

- A4 sized glad bags (to put kit together)

One More Day To Go!!!

During the month of August, a “Silver Coin Challenge” will be held between all classes.

Students are asked to collect as much spare change from family and friends, (seek parent/guardian permission first), bring it to school and place it into their classroom collection jars.

Each collection jar will be counted and tallied, and at the end of the month, the classroom who raises the most money will receive a hot chip lunch.

Funds raised from this challenge will form part of FORPS fundraising for the year, which will be put towards projects around the school including the ongoing development of our STEM garden.
