Grade 5 Snapshot
Dear Parents,
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the parents and carers who have done a fabulous job supporting your incredible kids during Term 3 Remote Learning. Students have been absolutely amazing and have managed to flourish and develop in ways which otherwise might not have been possible. As teachers there have been both challenges and rewards. A definite plus has been seeing how resilient the kids are and how happily they not only 'rose to the occasion' but thrived as they grew in their independence and self-management skills. We are looking forward to seeing the students again soon.
Next week we have some fun activities planned for our students and we are celebrating National Week of Deaf People! Did you know that butterflies are deaf? To celebrate NWDP, students will complete a butterfly-themed mindfulness activity on Monday. On Wednesday teachers have their Planning Day for next term. We will meet with the whole grade in the morning, then students will be set independent tasks to carry on with for the day. On Friday each grade will have an end of term celebration of the students choosing.
Enjoy the last week of Term 3 Remote Learning and have a safe and restful holidays.
