Visiting Indonesian student at Bruny Island

Visiting Indonesian Students

(16 photos in this gallery)

This week we have been hosting 35 Grade 8 students from SMPK Penabur school in Indonesia.  The students have been having a great time with their host families, getting to know some of our customs and way of living.

During the day, they have been attending classes at SCC as well as visiting other schools around Hobart and on Bruny Island.

On Tuesday they entertained us with music and dance from Indonesia as well as a presentation about their school and country.  Please click on the link below to view a short video of snippets of the event:

(Video only available via this link, not publicly available on YouTube.)

They are spending the rest of the week playing “tourist” and visiting some of our more well known landmarks.  Then on Sunday, all the host families will join together for a BBQ lunch, before farewelling everyone on Monday morning.
