Why

Every day another 35 Australians are diagnosed with a blood cancer. That's one Aussie every 41 minutes. Although research is improving survival, sadly an Australian loses their life to blood cancer every two hours.

All funds raised are for the Leukaemia Foundation to help give families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need. Money raised will also help fund vital research to help more people survive blood cancers, while improving their quality of life.

School Target

This has been a useless exercise because we keep setting targets and they keep getting smashed! Our current target is $12,000, which would be enough to fund 7 months of lab work! This would be an incredible help to the Leukaemia Foundation in their fight against cancer so let’s have one last push to raise as much as we can!

Personal Donation Targets

If you’d like to give but not sure how much, then here are some numbers for you to think about.

$33 - means experienced blood cancer support teams can make regular hospital visits to comfort families through the shock of a diagnosis and the anxiety that comes with treatment.

$53 - will help grow blood cancer cells in a lab to enable vital research into the cause and treatment of blood cancer.

$80 - will keep rural and regional families together when relocating to a capital city for urgent treatment; providing a caring, home-away-from-home in our village communities, so they have the strength to fight their blood cancer with family by their side.

$103 - will provide essential blood cancer research equipment to work towards better treatments and outcomes for people living with blood cancer.

$250 - enables a family to attend a support program specific to their blood cancer
