Primary Sport

BASKETBALL

  • Please refer to the College APP for the most up to date draws and training schedule.
  • Boys may play in their Canterbury shorts or wear the College sports shorts and must wear either 'ASH' socks or white socks.
  • A bus will be provided to and from basketball venues for Years 5&6 AIC basketballers each week. Boys are requested to use the bus sign-on sheet located outside the Primary Sport office if they wish to catch the bus.
  • Boys travelling on the bus MUST travel in their Sports Uniform.
  • The bus will depart from the Bus stop @ 3:00pm and return @ 5:45pm (approx.), return details will be posted on the College APP. If your son catches the bus and you collect him, it is very important to ensure you inform a staff member.

TENNIS

Year 5 Training – Monday 7:00am – 8:15am

Year 6 Training – Tuesday 7:00am – 8:15am

  • Boys playing tennis will need to purchase the following from the uniform shop;
    MCA Tennis shirt, sports shorts and an MCA Tennis cap.

CROSS COUNTRY

  • Full squad training has resumed meet at the John Eales Grandstand, 6:45am;
    Training A – Monday/Tuesday
    Training B – Wednesday/Thursday
  • Boys are to encouraged to get to 1 “A” and 1 “B” session per week.
  • Qualification time trials will begin in the next 2 weeks, these will have a major impact on selection for AIC Championships.

RUGBY UNION

  • All players to arrive at least 15 mins prior to game time
  • Boys are to wear their Bumblebee jersey.
  • Boots, mouthguard/shin pads are compulsory for all trials.
  • Boys are asked to bring a water bottle.
  • UNIFORM: Boots, mouthguard, MCA rugby jersey, CCC shorts, MCA rugby socks

TRACK AND FIELD

 

AIC Track and Field

  • Track Training; Monday 3:30pm – 4:45pm – meet at the John Eales Grandstand.
  • Long jump and Hurdles training; Monday 7:15 – 8:15am – meet at the John Nunan Athletics Precinct
  • Boys wishing to attend high jump and shot put training are asked to register their interest with Mr Lambourne, details regarding training will follow as soon as these are confirmed.
  • AIC Championships, Friday & Saturday, October 9 & 10
    Boys should be available to train during Term 3 holidays.

Age Championships

  • Final 2 events, long jump and shot put to be completed Wednesday, August 5.

WATER POLO

Rivercity Waterpolo is offering students born 2009, 2010 or 2011 who have never played water polo, the opportunity to learn the basic skills. The 4-week course at the BGS (indoor & heated) pool on the last 4 Sundays of August (9, 16, 23 & 30). The sessions run for one hour. Training will be 12:00pm-1:00pm, 1:00pm-2:00pm or 2:00-3:00pm. Venue, Coaching & equipment will all be covered by Rivercity, players just need to be strong swimmers and ideally have good ball skills.
