Year 5 Camp Update 

Year 5 Alexandra Adventure Resort- Rescheduled 

It was unfortunate that the Victorian Government announced lockdown restrictions that prevented our year 5 students and staff from attending their camp to Alexandra Adventure Resort. The school has been communicating with the campsite over the last week to find a date for our year 5 camp. We are excited to announce that a new date has been arranged. 

The year 5 camp has been rescheduled in Term 4 for Monday 8th November to Wednesday 10th November. 

Alexandra Adventure Resort was very limited on dates available due to other schools already booked in for the rest of the year. Therefore, the campsite only had the option for our school to share our camp date with another school. Even though our students and staff will be onsite with another school, St Simon’s and Alexandra Adventure Resort guarantee that both schools will remain separated and will not share common facilities at the same time. 

This means student and staff accommodation, lodging, meals and activities will be separate for each school and our program will be tailored to ensure our school stays within COVID safe throughout the entire camp experience. All these measures outlined above are subject to the school operation guide sent out by the Department of Education and our school along with the campsite will review these protocols closer to the date of the camp.

A new Operoo permission form will be sent out later in the Term to all year 5 parents with information about the reschedule camp.
