Stage 3 have been involved in an initiative with the University of New England to test the quality of our soil -  'Soil your Undies'. Last Term we had to bury a pair of 100% white cotton undies in topsoil for 2 months and then check the level of decomposition.

During remote learning we had to investigate what material our clothing is made from and test the acidity of a soil sample from school. The results showed our soil is more alkaline.

On Monday, we dug up our undies to discover how much they had deteriorated. The results show that Molong Central School's soil is quite healthy.  We were required to submit our final results and data to the University. For more information about the initiative, go to www.unediscoveryvoyager.org.au
