Religious Education

'Religious Education enables learners to encounter God in their lives and to articulate what this means, in an environment that welcomes multicultural and multi-faith world views.'

SOCKTOBER  -  Catholic Mission

Throughout October 2022, students across Australia will be learning about, praying and advocating for and raising funds to support vulnerable children in Ethiopia who are facing food insecurity and malnutrition. They struggle to access the basic things we enjoy here at school every day. Fatima has signed up for 'Socktober for Mission Month' because we want to help improve these areas where there is such great social difference.

SOCKTOBER

Mission week is 21st to 28th October

We are celebrating Socktober as a social justice activity on Friday 28th October.

Wear different/crazy socks and bring a gold coin to donate (or equivalent).

To put emphasis on creating ‘crazy socks’ instead of buying new socks, we will have three recess times next week; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with our year 6 leaders in the art room to decorate a pair of socks. If your child would like to decorate a pair of socks please send in a pair of socks they are happy to decorate and with the help of our leaders and the art room supplies, they can create the craziest socks ever.

Don't forget to wear your coloured socks to school on Friday next week and bring a gold coin donation!
