All schools' NSW Athletics - Tallara Joseph- Riogi won 13 girls Javelin. Throwing 37.18m in the final. Also placed 11th in discus, throwing 27.62m. She will be representing NSW at Nationals Athletics in December.
Saffron Takacs-Gal from 7P just competed in the rock-climbing championships in Melbourne. She placed third overall.

On Friday the 21.10.22, the Years 9 and 10 from First Nations Leadership group went to the University of Sydney to attend the Ngara program with all other schools from NSW. The day consisted of workshops and a campus tour. The workshops equipped students with useful tools and resources to prepare for life after school, subject selection and different opportunities students can apply for at the University of Sydney.
MMB Member Schools - Ella Luu-Jones
Acknowledging Ella Luu-Jones as a member of the 2022 NSW Public Schools Millennium Marching Band. Ella was involved in rehearsals on Monday 31 October and a performance on Wednesday 2 November for the APPA Conference Opening Ceremony at the Sofitel Wentworth.

Farewell To Year 12 Drama Group 2022
The Examination has been taken, the texts returned, and Year 12 Drama launch themselves into a whole new way of life. Congratulations to all Year 12 students for their persistence and success in getting to the end of their school life. Particular best wishes to Year 12 Drama who have supported each other through the highs and lows of practical and theory as they explored Australian Drama and the International Dramatic traditions.
Year Six into Year Seven Performing Arts Day
Tuesday the 18th of October saw the corridors ringing with the excited murmurings of the in-coming Year seven students 2023, as they spent the day becoming familiar with the school, our systems and spending time involved in challenging and creative activities. Whether it be playing with the Band, exploring Drama, or Dance or creating in Visual Art or conjuring images with Photography and Digital Media in the darkroom, the students looked to be having a great day. They moved from activity to activity guided by their Year Seven mentors who provided understanding and considerate attention and time to all in the group their allocated group.
TheatreSports Challenge
CGHS is undertaking our TheatreSports Challenge on Wednesday 14th December. This Challenge gives stage four students the opportunity to participate as a member of a team undertaking improvisatory challenges. Alternatively, they can simply have the pleasure of watching their peers as they compete in a series of imaginative dramatic situations and settings in this TheatreSports Challenge. The audience is often times spellbound as they delight in the hilarious and often incongruous outcomes.
Workshops for Year 7 & 8 in preparation to explore and practice playing the TheatreSports games are underway Thursday lunchtimes in B3. These workshops are open to all stage 4 students

We are underway in our auditioning process to cast for our next Musical 'GOOD VIBRATIONS'.
Presently students in Year 8-11 have been given the opportunity to go through the 'Audition' process to help us select our talented actors and singers for this show. At the start of 2023 we will give Stage four students an opportunity to join Ensembles and to become members of the Production cast and crew
