What's new in Sport at MSJ for 2018

2018 MSJ Swimming Competition

We are excited to be staging our new look House Swimming Competition at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre(MSAC) for the first time ever on 5 March  from 2.00pm-4.30pm.

Nearly 190 students have signed up to swim for their Houses in 50m events across freestyle, breastroke, backstroke, butterfly and 4 x 50 metre team relays, to see who will be the MSJ Swimming Champion for 2018.

Students will be selected from this event to represent the school at the SCSA Cwimming Carnival at MSAC, 6.00pm-9.30pm, on Thursday March 15. Parents are welcome to attend this event and cheer your child onto glory.

We have 3 other SCSA events on in Term 1 at MSJ.

Students have been trialling to represent the school at junior, intermediate and senior levels in tennis and indoor cricket at the Boroondara Tennis Club on Thursday 8 March and Box Hill Indoor Cricket Centre, on Tuesday 13 March respectively.

The SSAV/SCSA Golf tournament is on Monday March 19 at Waverley Golf Club, Rowville, where students who are capable of playing 18 holes stroke play, can compete against other Victorian Metropolitan schools. This tournament will also act as qualifying round for the Independent Schools Golf Championship to be contested on 28 May at The National Long Island.

Trials will also commence late this term for Term 2 SCSA Badminton so it is a busy and fun start to the sporting year at MSJ!
