How does our garden grow?

How does our garden grow?

Last week a number of parents volunteered their time to beautify our farm. We pruned, mulched, composted and planted - we even had a keen volunteer mow our lawn!! It was a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with each other, whilst connecting with nature!

Thank you to our fabulous volunteers: Bridgette, Toby, Brock, Naomi, Mark and Beth.

Stay tuned for more farm working bees, and other opportunities for connection in future!!

Welcome Picnic

We had an impressive turn out at our Welcome Picnic this week! It was wonderful to see the connection (face-to-face!), laughter, play and engagement. Mr Whippy’s ice cream truck and Miss Fleur’s Coffee van were a real treat! As was Thom’s delightful performance.

We created a beautiful collaborative clay art piece depicting ‘What does Community mean to you?’

Thank you to the families that came. Your support enables us to work towards fostering an authentic and successful partnership. Please take the time to fill in this short survey; this will ensure that we can continue to provide opportunities in future that truly engage you in our School Community.

It’s time to celebrate!

St. John’s Primary School Community is seeking expressions of interest from parents and friends wishing to contribute to the establishment of a Steering Committee to develop a proposal for a Community Twilight Evening in celebration of St. John’s Primary School’s Centenary Year.

We would like to bring together a motivated and passionate group of parents/friends and staff with the common goal of developing and creating a vision for a community gathering in Term 4.

Committee members will drive the planning and delivery of a Twilight Evening event.  The number of places on the committee will be limited, however the committee members will be seeking suggestions and support from the wider St. John’s Community to ensure that it is a memorable celebration event for all.

Please email me to provide your expression of interest, including your name and a brief description of the reason for your interest and the skills and knowledge you may bring to the Steering Committee if successful.
