Feast of the Holy Trinity - Sunday 16 June

Last week Holy Trinity School celebrated it's Feast Day.  As a parish, we joined with Holy Trinity in this celebration.  While the idea of three persons in one God is a perplexing concept, there have been many explanations and metaphors used over the years -  Saint Patrick famously used the Shamrock to teach The Trinity to the people of Ireland.

Personally, I find Foley's explanation most helpful:

The Triune God is not some kind of brainy speculation by scholars, it is simply the way we experience God in this world. Christian living is the Trinity in action.
