Accessing VCE results and ATARs 2018

VCE results and ATARs will be released at 7am Friday 14 December.

The procedure to access VCE results and ATARs in 2018 is mostly the same as last year, with one key change. Where in years past students have been given a default PIN (their date of birth) and a strong recommendation to change it, they are now required to register and create their own password.

How do students register for the joint results service?

Registration is open at https://resultsandatar.vic.edu.au/ and will remain open through the results release period. For obvious reasons, it is recommended that students not wait until 6:58am on the morning of the release to register.

To register, students will need to provide their name, VCE student number, date of birth and an email address. The password that they determine must be between 7 and 32 characters and contain at least three of the following:

  • Uppercase letter (A-Z)
  • Lowercase letter (a-z)
  • Numeral (0-9)
  • Special character such as ()~`#$*&@^

Where can students access their results?

  • The joint VCAA/VTAC results website: https://resultsandatar.vic.edu.au – free access
  • The joint VCAA/VTAC results app – free download
  • The VTAC app (ATAR only) – free download
  • Mail -VCE results
    • VCE results are mailed to the address supplied by the secondary school to the VCAA. Any updates to addresses must be made by 30 November.
  • Mail – ATAR
    • Paid VTAC applicants are mailed an official ATAR statement to the address listed in the their VTAC account as of 5pm Monday 10 December. Students not applying for courses through VTAC can purchase an ATAR statement for $25 in early January by filling in and submitting this form: www.vtac.edu.au/files/pdf/forms/vtac_documentation_request.pdf

How to log in and access results

To access results from the joint results website or app, students must enter their VCE student number and the password they created when registering for the service.

To access ATARs through the VTAC app, students must login with their VTAC details – their VTAC ID and 4-digit PIN.

How long will the joint results website remain open?

The website will open 7am Friday 14 December and close 12noon Wednesday 19 December 2018. The joint results app will be in operation over the same time frame.

ATARs will still be available in the VTAC account after this time.

Accessing results from overseas

Students who are overseas can still access their results online, however, location restrictions may prevent access during the first 30 minutes of the service’s operating hours.
