From the Principal

Dear parents and carers

Welcome to Term 4

It is wonderful to see all of the students after their holiday break.  We have two significant events coming up next week.  On Tuesday, October 25th, school photographs will be conducted.  All students must be wearing correct summer uniform.  (Family Photo envelopes are available at the office).  On Friday, October 28th, our Annual Sports Day will be held at St Albans Reserve.  Students will need to arrive at St Albans Reserve between 8.30am - 8.50am. OSHC will be available in the morning, these students will walk to the oval under the supervision of staff. Afternoon OSHC will be available and these students will be walked under staff supervision back to school. If you would like your child in OSHC this day, please contact  OSHC staff.

Upon arrival, please find the allocated area of your child’s class and teacher. All parents/carers are asked to personally see your child’s class teacher on arrival and at theend of the day.  Safety is the first consideration for any Sports Day, so please make sure to follow protocol. Those students who are not collected at the end of Sports Day at 1:00, will walk back to school with staff supervision and be dismissed at the usual time of 3:15, unless they are booked in OSHC.

The emphasis of Sports Day is for all students to participate, learn and feel part of a team. Students can dress up in their house colours or wear their St Gabriel’s Sports Uniform. Please apply Sunscreen before the day (Sunscreen will be provided for re-application throughout the day). Students need to wear their St Gabriel’s School Hat and bring a water bottle and recess.

There will be a sausage sizzle and drinks for those wishing to purchase lunch.

Please see below for outline of the day.  If you have any questions please contact Anita Marino (PE Teacher and Sports Co-ordinator).
