I would like an abundance of peace.

I would like full vessels of charity.

I would like rich treasures of mercy.

I would like cheeerfulness to preside over all.

Dear Families

I cannot believe I am writing about being in Remote Learning again. As with all other lockdowns I have to commend students, staff and parents for their proactiveness and positivity in the current situation we are in. Unfortunately, we can do nothing to change the situation as it is beyond our control. Both the staff and I would love to have the children onsite as we miss them terribly. But again I am exceptionally proud of how well the students have adapted. I have to also mention the children that are onsite. Some of these children have been here 5 days a week for each and every lockdown. It is not much fun for them, but they come to school with a smile on their faces each morning and complete their work online with their classroom teacher.

Foundation Get to Know you meetings for 2022

It was so nice to meet with our new Foundation families last week - the children are very excited to be coming to school next year and the parents are looking forward to being part of our wonderful school community.

Existing families that have children starting in Foundation next year, your Get To Know You interviews will take place onsite on Thursday 5th August. If the opportunity to meet onsite changes we will update you. I am looking forward to meeting  with you all on Thursday 5th.

If you have not already made your booking please click here for the link to School Interview and enter the booking code sguxc.  Alternatively if you cannot make the meetings on the 5th of August please contact the Office to arrange another suitable time.

SOCIAL EVENTS

Disco

Best laid plans ……

At this stage the F-4 disco will go ahead on Friday 30th July (next week) if we come back to school on Tuesday and dependant on what updates we get from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS, renamed from Catholic Ed Melbourne). If anything changes with lockdown we will reschedule to the following week (fingers crossed). I will keep you updated as soon as I know.

Parent Social Night

Again, we will go ahead with the social night unless anything changes. It will also be dependent  on what the venue restrictions are. Hopefully, we can get together - we are overdue for a catch up!

Working Bee

We are planning a working bee for Saturday 11th September. This working bee will incorporate a general tidy up of the grounds, planting and creating a rock garden area behind the basketball courts. Many thanks to Dan O’Connor who has had many chats with me and is going to run the working bee.   A BBQ will be provided after we have completed the work

Yours in partnership,
