IBM P-TECH PROGRAM

In September, Tilly Burke and Amelia Strait participated in a program through the Ballarat Tech School that covered a range of skills and industries. In the four days that the girls participated in the program, they were able to:

• Train Donkey Cars to automatically make their way around a track using code
• Participate in a mindfulness program
• Use sensors to collect data
• Use design thinking
• Code data from an app to music

They also got the opportunity to network with professionals from a variety of backgrounds, and were able to discuss STEM pathways that are available to them as careers.
