Our Big Backyard

Our Big Backyard is expanding and we would love to hear from the people who call Hackham, Hackham West and Huntfield Heights home.

Those of you familiar with Our Big Backyard (OBBY), know that this is a project for the community, and the OBBY Team is seeking your ideas to help families to explore the best local outdoor places to play. We encourage you to complete one of the two surveys.

Aboriginal Men's Referral Crisis Line

Dardi Munwurrow (Strong Spirit) is a specialist Aboriginal family violence service. Our vision is to build stronger families and safer communities. We do this by delivering a range of family violence programs specifically tailored for Aboriginal men. These programs aim to break the cycle of inter-generational trauma in Aboriginal families and communities by empowering and inspiring individuals to heal the past, acknowledge the present and create a positive vision for the future.

Dardi Munwurrow launched a 24 hour crisis line for Aboriginal men (Brother to Brother). The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is staffed by Aboriginal men, including Elders, who have a lived experience in the issues that the line offers support for. Ph 1800425799.
