STCPSSA Netball Round Robin

Friday 30 June saw 200 Year 5 and 6 netballers participate in the annual Tasmanian Catholic schools round robin, including five Year 6 teams from St Mary's College.

The day is focused on participation, fun and meeting people from other schools with no results recorded, however our teams enjoyed a successful outing and only lost two of the total 25 games they played.

Congratulations to captains, Amber Morrisby, Annie Carter, Jayne Robinson, Mia Styles, Tilly Cunningham (Year 6), and their vice-captains, who expertly organised their teams and ensured all players had equal opportunities.

Congratulations also to all 42 students who represented the College admirably with their sportsmanship, encouragement of others and excellent behaviour.

A big thank you must go to Senior School students, Holly Richardson (Year 9) and Meila Bromfield (Year 8), who assisted with umpiring duties throughout the day. Their enthusiasm, interest in the younger students and excellent umpiring skills contributed much to the success of the day and they were truly wonderful ambassadors for SMC.
