School Futsal

The game started off well. The crowd was pumped and were all crammed in the rows and cheering loudly. For the first 10 minutes we were under pressure and the ball didn't leave our defensive half. We got a few opportunities but just didn’t convert. It wasn’t until the start of the second half that Mason Maduka kicked a goal. Then Beverford quickly answered back with their first goal. It was intense for another couple of minutes until North linked up with Mason for him to kick his second of the night. Kaide went bang within minutes scoring our third to gain momentum going into the last minutes of the game. With a minute to spare Lewis snagged a goal from halfway, skimmed the goalie’s legs and went in. The whole team got around Lewis, cheering, that was the sealing goal. The siren buzzed and everyone went ballistic. We all shook hands and went up to receive our medals.

We would like to thank the crowd for coming out to the game, the umpire that umpired all season, our coaches, Jess and Sarah and Mrs Caldwell, that made this possible. Also, to the people that made it possible for our team to get here and win. To the two teams that played, unfortunately, there can’t be two winners, congratulations to Swan Hill North for winning and thank you for a great game Beverford.
