Dear Families, 

It is hard to believe that we are at the halfway point of this term. Term 3 is flying by. 

There are lots of exciting events and activities coming up between now and the end of the term. 

SHNPS is up for a School Review in Term One next year and a lot of the work leading up to the review is beginning to happen. This is an exciting time for the school because it means that we can reflect on the work of the school for the past four years and make new goals moving forward. 

Foundation Come and Try Days

We welcomed many new families to our 2024 Foundation Come and Try Days this year. 

The Pre-School students enjoyed being involved in the classroom activities. Our Transition program starts in November this year. If you know of any families looking to enrol for 2024, please get them to contact the office to book a personalised tour. 

Book Week

This week Book Week runs from the 19th - 25th August. The CBCA Book Week theme for 2023 is "Read, Grow, Inspire". This year we will run a range of activities and host a Book Week Parade on Friday 25th August at 9 am. We hope families can join us to see their child dressed up as their favorite book character. 

Futsal

Congratulations to our Year 5/6 Futsal team who won the Grand Final last week. It was wonderful to see the students participate and represent our school with such pride. It was a nail-biting game and both schools played so well. 

Student/Parent/Teacher Chats

Thank you to all of the families who came along to our Student/Parent/Teacher chats. This time is invaluable for setting goals for your child in Term 3 and 4 and it also allows a chance to reflect on their first semester of learning. 

Principals Lunch 

Last Friday I was lucky enough to host a Principals Lunch for the highest token winners of the week. It was lovely to have time with these students and chat with them about what things around the school they were doing to earn tokens. This week we will be hosting another reward for students who receive the most tokens in each class. 

Father's Day Lunch

On 1st September we will be hosting our Father's Day lunch. Please keep this date free and more information will be sent out shortly. 

Sentral Pay

We have recently introduced Sentral Pay at SHNPS. This function in Sentral allows you to pay for excursions, camps, etc online. Many families have welcomed this edition to the school.
