Planning for Term 4

Musicians will be coming home to practice this holidays!!

In Term 4 we have the following events coming up –

Week 3 -      Friday, October 25 -     Combined High Schools Concert

This is for ALL instrumental players. Each school will have a school ensemble performing, which for McGuire is the Jazz Band. In addition, we will have combined Junior Concert Band, Intermediate and Senior Concert Band which will workshop on the day and play a Combined Concert at night.

Week 5 -    Victorian School Music Festival- from Nov 7 –

McGuire is entered at Novice Concert Band. Details will be available at the beginning of Term 4.

All players will be attending – so PLAY, PLAY, PLAY in the holidays!

Week 7 -     November 18, 19, 20 -     Jon Madin Marimbas and his Wacky Instruments –

for all Music students. This will be our final Incursion with Jon at McGuire College – a great fun event.

No further cost is involved with these events – cost is covered by Music fees and some donation –

So please check that your family is up to date with the Music fee.
