From the Principal

New in 2020

I have the great pleasure in announcing many new additions to our school based curriculum package in 2020.  In 2020 the children will have seven 40 minute Specialist teachers each week, including two of these that are new to our school.

LOTE – Mandarin     Physical Education     Discovery Centre     S.T.E.M

Performing Arts     Visual Arts     Digital Technologies

In addition to these exciting new Specialist areas we are also significantly increasing the level of Intervention teaching across the school.

Prep Intervention Support (Maths & English)  - 2 days a week

Year 1 to 3 – English – 3 days a week            Year 1 to 3 – Maths – 3 days a week

Year 4 to 6 – English – 3 days a week            Year 4 to 6 – Maths – 3 days a week

Year 1 to 6 Extension and Enrichment Program – 2 days a week

And all this has been done with a reduction in school levies across the board from Prep to Year 6. Now where else does that happen in the world these days.

The school year begins for all Year 1–6 children on Thursday 30th January 2020 at 8.55 am

2020 SCHOOL CAPTAINS

At our end of year School Mass last Thursday our 2020 School Captains were announced to the school community. We congratulate and wish Ruby, Hannah, Atticus and Alex well in their leadership duties next year and I look forward to working with all the Year 6 children in the many different ways they will lead our school next year.

On behalf of Father Michael and Father Terry and the staff, we wish you a wonderful Christmas and a rest-filled school holidays.  I am so much looking forward to working in partnership with you all next year.

FAMILIES LEAVING SFX
