Student Leadership

Casey Leadership Night
On the 22nd of March, our school had been invited to attend a casey leadership night event, by the Mayor Councillor of the City of Casey, Cr Geoff Ablett . The purpose of this event was to celebrate the appointment of School Captains and Student Leaders from across the City of Casey.. We had four representatives of our college that were part of the night; College school captains Anusha Sharma and Vinze Benitez, along with our SRC presidents; Shaleen Narayan and Melanie Naujok.
The night consisted of inspiring guest speakers who advocated inspiring speeches and we have taken this into consideration as we strive to make our school and community a better place. Motivational speeches which triggered our mindsets back again to the responsibility and the opportunities we hold as leaders. It is incredible how listening to few speeches affect the outlook of our leadership in a positive manner.
In particular, we would like to mention the Co founder of the non-for-profit mental health organisation. Livin is an innovative approach to eliminating the stigma attached to mental illness using the mantra “it ain’t weak to speak.” Sam is passionate about helping people reach their full potential through wellness, chage and a positive approach to life. Along with running his organisation, he has also appeared in Australian Survivor in 2016 and the Neighbours. His speech made us reflect on how we should view life in a positive way and live life to the fullest.
We are extremely honoured and grateful that we were able to attend as we had the chance to communicate, share and attain valuable information with other school leaders and guest speakers.
